Audi Finishes First, Second, and Third at Le Mans!

Tuesday, June 15th, 2010

Going into the world’s most famous endurance motor race, Audi looked to be fighting an uphill battle against their French rivals, Peugeot. But after completing 379 laps of the world famous Circuit de le Sarthe, Audi came home victorious. Not only did Audi best Peugeot - who had entered the race with a clear advantage after displaying remarkable speed in qualifying - by taking home the overall victory, but the manufacturer swept the podium, taking the top three positions. The Peugeots on the other hand failed to finish, thanks to a series of crashes and mechanical failures.

The team’s performance was nothing short of spectacular; not only did Audi win, but also set a total distance record in the process. The victory marked the 9th by Audi, tying them with Ferrari for second place in Le Mans victories. Though a factory team hasn’t been campaigned by the Stuttgart-based company in several years, Porsche still holds the record with 16 Le Mans victories, so Audi still has some catching up to do if they wish to take the overall record!

If you are an Audi fan, you may be interested in taking advantage of our Audi R8 rental; with jaw-dropping styling and world-class performance derived from the company’s Le Mans efforts, the Audi R8 is a truly brilliant automobile! Rolls Royce Announces New 2010 Ghost

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

We have to say that we are pretty excited about the newest offering from Rolls Royce, due out this year! The Rolls Royce Phantom - which was introduced in 2003 and has served as the company’s sole model since its launch - has proven quite popular with our clients, especially for special occasions, business meetings, and black tie events. It goes without saying that we are eager to get our hands on the company’s first new model in seven years. The Rolls Royce Ghost looks like it will be a worthy alternative to the Phantom.

Designed to serve as a slightly smaller, more accessible, more user-friendly version of the Phantom, the Rolls Royce Ghost gives up nothing in luxury, comfort, or performance over its bigger brother. In fact, in many ways we think that the Ghost may be a better car. The Phantom is the pinnacle of luxury, but this status can make it a bit intimidating to drive on the street. For this reason, and also due in part to the car’s size, many people opt to use a chauffeur when renting our Phantom. A chauffeur service can be great, especially for events that merit a grand entrance, but sometimes you just want to drive yourself. The Rolls Royce Ghost is meant to be driven.

With a 6.6 liter V12 twin turbo engine, advanced suspension, and spacious cabin, the Rolls Royce Ghost is the ultimate street car. The car has enough power to effortlessly merge onto the freeway and is comfortable for four adults. We don’t know about you, but we are anxiously awaiting our first test drive. What do you think: should the Rolls Royce Ghost be added to our luxury car rental fleet?

BMW Unveils Latest Art Car by Jeff Koons!

Monday, June 7th, 2010

The latest in a long line of BMW art cars was recently unveiled to the public, and if we do say so ourselves, the car is a stunner! The BMW Art Car program was first started in 1975 and has been popular with BMW fans ever since. Famous artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Frank Stella have all been commissioned to design art cars, and the results have been truly spectacular; Warhol’s BMW M1 art car has become immortalized and Lichtenstein’s black, white, and yellow 3-series racecar is one of the most unique racecar liveries ever put to track! As car enthusiasts ourselves, we love the BMW Art Car program and love this newest addition.

Jeff Koon’s BMW Art Car - an E92 BMW M3 GTS racecar - features a striking color palette of bright yellows, blues, greens, and reds, and highlights sharp lines that streak back towards the rear of the car. The effect makes the car look as if it is going 200mph even when it is standing still! We can’t wait to see the car in action; the car will be competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race this year (June 12-13), and we can’t help but think that the design is going to look stunning going down the Mulsanne straight!

If you want to experience BMW M-power firsthand, our BMW M3 convertible rental will not disappoint! The V8 in the current generation M3 is a superb engine that is capable of propelling the car down the road in a hurry, and the handling and braking are world class. Needless to say, we think that BMW has a good chance of success in France this month!
