BMW Unveils Latest Art Car by Jeff Koons!
The latest in a long line of BMW art cars was recently unveiled to the public, and if we do say so ourselves, the car is a stunner! The BMW Art Car program was first started in 1975 and has been popular with BMW fans ever since. Famous artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Frank Stella have all been commissioned to design art cars, and the results have been truly spectacular; Warhol’s BMW M1 art car has become immortalized and Lichtenstein’s black, white, and yellow 3-series racecar is one of the most unique racecar liveries ever put to track! As car enthusiasts ourselves, we love the BMW Art Car program and love this newest addition.
Jeff Koon’s BMW Art Car - an E92 BMW M3 GTS racecar - features a striking color palette of bright yellows, blues, greens, and reds, and highlights sharp lines that streak back towards the rear of the car. The effect makes the car look as if it is going 200mph even when it is standing still! We can’t wait to see the car in action; the car will be competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race this year (June 12-13), and we can’t help but think that the design is going to look stunning going down the Mulsanne straight!
If you want to experience BMW M-power firsthand, our BMW M3 convertible rental will not disappoint! The V8 in the current generation M3 is a superb engine that is capable of propelling the car down the road in a hurry, and the handling and braking are world class. Needless to say, we think that BMW has a good chance of success in France this month!
