On Sep 26^th-27^th  San Diego Prestige attended the 12^th Annual Coronado Speed Festival.  We had fun supporting the event & mingling with car lovers from all over the country as we all enjoyed San Diego’s infamous weather as this summer comes to an end. The 12^th annual Coronado Speed Festival took place celebrated fleet week to show appreciation to the military. The event took place on Naval Base Coronado & was open to the public allowing visits to the USS Princeton & USS Makin Island. The Coronado Speed Festival consisted of car races, car club coral with over 2000 cars, 150 cars in the car show, & the highlight this year was drifting (Drifting: refers to a driving technique and to a motor sport where the driver intentionally oversteers, causing loss of traction in the rear wheels through turns, while preserving vehicle control and a high exit speed. A car is said to be drifting when the rear slip angle is greater than the front slip angle prior to the corner apex, and the front wheels are pointing in the opposite direction to the turn, and the driver is controlling these factors. As a motor sport, professional drifting competitions are held across the world. . .

This event was held on 9/3 just before sunset in La Jolla where the people watching was accompanied by San Diego Prestige’s beautiful yellow Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder capturing your attention with the breathtaking Miss Fletcher Hills Saddaf Yusuf passing out fliers & giving information on both San Diego Prestige & Symbolic Motors as you entered the designated area. The aroma of the chef’s magnificent creations was in the air & in every direction you looked you could spot out celebrities. Tony Hawk was spotted, being the fun friendly guy that he is mingling & even participating in the raffle where San Diego Prestige put up the showcased Lamborghini for bid & boy did it go quickly…But why wait till next year’s event, mention the Taste @ the Cove when booking your next rental & receive 5% off on the Lamborghini rental.

Food-Wine-Art, those were the key words @ this year “Beyond The Border International Contemporary Art Fair” held in San Diego @ the Grand Del Mar. Over 500 pieces displayed from artists all over the world approximately 4 million dollars of artwork all in the 1 grand ballroom. French Artist Sophia Matisse great granddaughter of Henri Matisse had an exhibit there, which was 1 of SDP’s favorites; Ferrari & Maserati of San Diego were 1 of the many sponsors allowing guests to test drive these exotic vehicles. So for those who got a taste of these amazing vehicles San Diego Prestige is sure you’ll become an addict & wants to remind you that we have daily, monthly, & timeshare programs on all our vehicles including both the Ferrari & Maserati…we encourage you to drive art not just view it!!!

The 82 SunSeeker known as Machiavelli is an amazingly fun, classy, attractive yacht. Over the weekend I spent 5 hours on the luxury yacht - taking off from the Marriott Marina, going deep out into the ocean towards Mexico & then docking in Coronado for some souvenir shopping. The day was nice & bright, I saw seals, dolphins, & submarines. With 3 different levels to choose from; the very top was open - riding high on top of the ocean as I sunbathed breathing in the ocean air; the middle level was where I ate, watched TV, & lounged around; & then the lowest level is where I knapped with 4 bedrooms to choose from each nicer then the next. For a 1^st time yacht trip I don’t think it could get any better than this wonderful experience! I highly recommend this luxury yacht for both small & large groups; although my day was a relaxing with a small group this is an ideal party boat. I can’t wait to take it out again & have now signed up for the prepaid days on a timeshared program – feeling like I’m part owner of a 4 million dollar yacht. Thank you San Diego Prestige for a day I’ll never ever forget!!!

On July 1st, 2009 San Diego Prestige is hosting the French Chamber of Commerce on our 69 McKinna Yacht docked @ the Marriott Marina in downtown San Diego near the Gaslamp District. The event will be held form 6pm – 8pm, allowing you to mingle with our French community here in San Diego & cocktails will be served.
